As many as 1 in 10,000 children are conceived each year in the US with genetic disorders in their DNA. We can, however, make life-changing differences for these children with proper medical treatment and financial support for families who are left behind by traditional insurance plans and government funding.
Every year in a typical big city an average of 21 kids are born with Inborn Errors of Metabolism not covered by traditional insurance. 21kids.org is the philanthropic mission of the ACIEM Foundation.
